Arden Sabourin
RPQ - Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Sliding scale available — a limited number of reduced-fee spots offered. Contact us to discuss your situation.
Arden works with individuals navigating major life transitions and high-functioning anxiety — especially during periods when "holding it all together" is no longer working.
Many of her clients are high achievers: professionals, entrepreneurs, current or former athletes, and academic high performers who are used to pushing through, staying productive, and meeting expectations. Over time, the very strategies that once helped them succeed can begin to lead to burnout, anxiety, self-criticism, and a persistent sense of never doing enough.
Arden helps clients better understand these patterns, develop self-compassion, and build more sustainable ways of living, working, and relating to themselves.
She also supports individuals through significant identity and life transitions, including career changes, relocation, and transitions into and through parenthood. Arden has a particular focus on women's mental health, supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, matrescence, and perimenopause. These stages often involve complex emotional, relational, and physiological changes, and benefit from thoughtful, specialized support.
Arden's approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and grounded in curiosity and respect. She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-based, emotionally focused approaches. Her work is focused on helping clients create meaningful, workable changes in their day-to-day lives — not just insight, but real progress.
Clients often describe Arden as warm, down-to-earth, and genuine. Her perspective is shaped by her own experiences navigating major life transitions, including moving across countries, leaving competitive sport, building a marriage, and becoming a parent. She offers a supportive, non-judgmental space, along with the occasional gentle push when it's helpful.
